Rules and requirements

Eligibility:

 Attendees from all backgrounds, genders, and geographies are welcome. There is no age restriction to attend the hackathon.

 

There is no country restriction but you must be eligible to receive prizes (in case you win) and you are responsible for paying any taxes on the prize winnings.

 

Team Formations:

Teams can consist of at least 02 team members. For exceptional reasons, please contact the organizers.

Changes of team members are not permitted

 

Project Development:

Any software development tools, game engine, IDE, and/or programming language can be used for the event. If a team member uses a purchased tool licensed to him or her and the license is not transferable to other members the member’s team must choose one available to all developer teams.

 All design elements, code, hardware builds, etc. for your project must be created during the event. Third-party tools and frameworks are allowed as well as your normal tooling

 While you may not begin coding in advance, you can plan and discuss with your team in advance. Written documents and design sketches are allowed.  You may also incorporate pre-existing material that is freely available to the public into your projects, such as public domain images, Creative Commons music, open-source libraries, existing APIs, and platforms.    

 

A team can submit only one entry for the hackathon. Participation at the hackathon is subject to a “per-team” basis meaning you are not allowed to be on more than one team at the event.

A team may not code applications that violate the code of conduct. For example, Racially insensitive ideas for an application will automatically be disqualified.

 Any intellectual property developed during the hackathon will belong to the team that developed it. We expect that each team will have an agreement between themselves regarding the IP

 Competitors may only enter projects significantly created by members on their team who are currently competing in the team

 Device and Internet charges or any other miscellaneous expenses must be borne by the participants. All materials submitted in connection with the Hackathon must be in English

Project Submission:

All teams should have a team name, and be registered with Discord and Google Meet

Judging:

Eligible Submissions will be evaluated by a panel of judges selected by the Administrator (the “Judges”). Judges may be employees of the administrator or external, may or may not be listed individually on the Hackathon Website, and may change before or during the Judging Period. Judging may take place in one or more rounds with one or more panels of Judges, at the discretion of the Administrator.

Judges are not required to test the Application and may choose to judge based solely on the text description, images, and video provided in the Submission.

All expenses or costs associated with the acceptance or use of the prize or any component of the prize are the responsibility of the winner. The prize is awarded “as is” and without any warranty.

*The organisers have the right to amend  the above rules without any prior intimation of the participants
